“But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.” (2 Corinthians 3:18 NASB). We are in a process of growth that is lifelong; any growth we have is by the Spirit. We are being changed from one level of glory to a higher level of glory; that is an ongoing transformation. Jesus said the cross was His glorification; it is ours as well. Our progressive transformation is always connected to the cross; our life is to be conformed to the cross, and thus transformed by it. There is more than one death in this process of the cruciform life. May I suggest that each level of glory corresponds to deeper dying than hereunto we have experienced; embrace the process.
