We need mercy more than one time in our lives. We still need it for our mistakes and our sins. “My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.” (1 John 2:1 NKJV). Oh, the mercy of our Advocate! It banishes condemnation; it soothes our soul. God’s mercy is daily; it is as fresh as daily manna. It is satisfying as a drink from a cool spring. It is comforting to know that “surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all of the days of my life” (Psalm 23).
