In the wilderness, Israel was to gather manna everyday, except the Sabbath.  None was to be kept until the next day.  The Father was providing fresh bread for them every morning, but for those who tried to hoard extra, the next day found it to be foul and inedible.  Yesterday’s bread is not good enough for today.  We need to gather today’s bread for today.  We need fresh manna, not stale manna.  Father, give us this day our daily manna, Jesus Himself.  By Your Spirit, distribute each day this fresh Bread from Heaven to our hungry souls.

Moses said to them, “Let no man leave any of it until morning.”  But they did not listen to Moses, and some left part of it until morning, and it bred worms and became foul; and Moses was angry with them. Exodus 16:19-20 (NASB)
