“Lord, if You marked down all the wrong things we ever did, who could ever have a chance before You? But we have found forgiveness with You, and this drives us to worship You in awe” (A paraphrase of Ps 130:3-4). We worship our Lord for many reasons, one of which is His willingness to forgive sins to those who ask. It frees us from the load of guilt. It enables us to move past our wrongs to new beginnings. It calls us to resist temptation, continue in obedience and walk in worshipful awe with our Lord. His mercy and lovingkindness cannot be measured.
