It would be nice if all the people who have trespassed against us would have come running to our feet and, bowing before us, asked for forgiveness.  Most of the time, that does not happen.  Sometimes a person does not know they have offended us, though maybe they should have known.  Jesus forgave from the cross with no one asking Him to do so.  So, forgive!  For the sake of Christlikeness, for the sake of the body of Christ, for the sake of the mission, for the sake of your own mental and spiritual health, let it go.

Lord, I have often trespassed against another in what I have said or done.  I have sometimes known and asked their forgiveness.  There were other times that I should have known but did not weigh my own actions.  So, Lord, I pray today, let go of my trespasses against You in the same way I let go of the trespasses of others against me.  Father, I give forgiveness and I gratefully receive Your forgiveness of me.   Amen!
