Focusing on not doing any particular sin insures that you will likely do it. It is your focus. It is the thing occupying your mind. Shift your focus toward loving God and others, and pleasing your Father, and you will discover the path to victory. Get your mind off the enticement by falling before your Lord in worship. Actively loving God in worship certainly does not mean there will be no temptations. But remember, a mind fixed on the goal is the way to win the race.
“Lay aside the sin…run the race…fixing your eyes on Jesus.” Hebrews 12:1-2.
