There was a pillar of fire by night that led the people across the wilderness. God’s glory was hidden in a cloud by day, the same cloud that concealed Him on Mt. Sinai. At night the fire of His guiding presence burned the cloud back so the people could walk at night. Concealed and revealed! Never far way! Always guiding! Always with us! With Him the wilderness does not consume us. With Him we are refined to live in the promised land.
Lord, thank You for the wilderness that refines us to live in Canaan. Thank You for trials that make us grateful for blessings. Thank You for the tests that strip us of self-sufficiency and brings us to depend on You.
