Evil can come to us wearing religious clothes and speaking “spiritual” words. It can come cloaked with religious cliches but full of manipulation and mischief. It speaks of love for the church but really loves itself. Its service is always self-serving. It claims to want what God wants but is its own god. It is not rooted in God and has no real love for God. It knows no humble brokenness before God. “From such, turn away!”
“These are the men who are hidden reefs in your love feasts when they feast with you without fear, caring for themselves; clouds without water, carried along by winds; autumn trees without fruit, doubly dead, uprooted” Jude 1:12 (NASB).
