John fell down before the glory of the Lord. When we see Jesus, we will not walk up to shake His hand, as folk ideas would have us believe. We will be slain in His presence as if dead. His glory will be so great that it will bring terror to the souls, even of saints. If God is among us, then where is the trembling? How can we be so casual about the presence of One so awesome? His Presence cannot be manipulated, generated or contrived. But He does come to dwell with us.
Lord Jesus, we are not worthy to stand in your presence. Keep us broken before you, filled with humility. We bow before you in worship! We anticipate the day when we will see you face to face and will fall before you as our awesome Lord and Master. Amen!
