When Jesus prayed in the garden on the eve of the crucifixion we remember His words, “Not my will but thy will” but we have forgotten His words, “Arise, let us be going.”  The first statement prepares disciples for the next statement.  Having embraced the will of God, we must arise to embrace the cross.    We, too, must get up with resolve, go forward and face life the way it is.  Jesus showed us how!

“Then He came to His disciples and said to them, “Are you still sleeping and resting? Behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of sinners. Rise, let us be going. See, My betrayer is at hand.” Matthew 26:45-46 (NKJV)s
