Evil hates the good. It resists and rejects the good. It will contradict and persecute the good. This is the nature of evil. Jesus knew this and warned His disciples of it. “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first” John 15:18 (NIV). Do not let it take you by surprise. This resistance is built into the culture itself with peer pressure pushing against what is contrary to it. If you follow the right, the good, and the just, then expect opposition.
“Indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted. But evil men and impostors will proceed from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.” 2 Timothy 3:12-13 (NASB)
