Jesus, our High Priest, entered into the holy place and obtained for us eternal redemption; He did it by the sprinkling of His own blood.  His blood was spilled through the ugliness of a political crucifixion.  It was meant to terrorize all onlookers if they too ever thought about crossing Rome.  This blood, sprinkled in heaven, became redemption to all who embraced the King of the Jews as their King.  Many of them died for this belief.  The force of Rome was turned against, not only would-be kings, but anyone who confessed allegiance to any other king.  Christ, our King and Priest, offers us something others cannot, eternal redemption.

“And not through the blood of goats and calves, but through His own blood, He entered the holy place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.”  Hebrews 9:12
