Believers are called to live the Christ-life in the world in incarnational ways, that is, like their Lord did.  This means identification with the ones to whom we minister; it includes suffering with them, loving them and unselfishly serving them.  A desire to escape the world and living in incarnational ways is not compatible.  These two, escapism and incarnational living, do not go hand in hand, fact is, they work against each other.  We are not ready to go to Heaven until we get our job done here.  After all, we are going to stand before Him and give an account of the deeds done in this world and not how much we wanted to get out of the world.  The later will not be praiseworthy.  “Well done” is reserved for those who did it.
