We need to keep learning. Christians, of all people, need to be lifelong learners, because we are lifetime disciples. Of course, there is an “ever learning” that never comes to the knowledge of the truth (2 Timothy 3:7). It also needs to be said that education is not the enemy of Christianity. It is not just ministers that need to be educated either. Some of the greatest theologians of history have been lay persons who took in-depth Christian teaching seriously. Biblical illiteracy among Christians is hurting the cause of Christ; that is inexcusable.
“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you have rejected knowledge” (Hosea 4:6 ESV).
