Recreating a past event may be a good thing to establish justice in a court of law, but it can be a poor thing in our personal lives. We can’t go back and relive, redo or repair the past. Once it is past, we cannot fix the accident, stop the divorce, regain the lost opportunity, reverse the storm, etc. We are where we are, and so we have to begin here. Do not keep trying to relive what you cannot undo. Live each day relying on the Lord, so that today may not become tomorrow’s regret.
My heart has no desire to stay
Where doubts arise
And fears dismay.
Tho’ some may dwell where these abound,
My prayer, my aim, is higher ground. -Johnson Oatman, Jr.
