Jesus prays that “The love wherewith You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.” We dwell in Him and He dwells in us in a mutual indwelling. To have Christ in us is to have the love of God “poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit” Rom 5:5. By this we are brought into an intimate fellowship with God and He with us. It is to be an experience out of which we live our lives. In this divine fellowship we find personal meaning and mission.
Jesus said, “I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me…and I have made Your name known to them, and will make it known, so that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.” John 17:23-26 (NASB)
