In our day of polarization, careless words are said about church leaders that can be very hurtful to the person and divisive to the body of Christ.  This often happens when someone behaves as a sniper, firing away at a pastor, either directly or by innuendo.  We live in a hyper-critical environment.  It is no small thing to attack the leaders of the church merely because they do not say everything the way you want them to say it.  It is evil to divide the body.  It is horrible to sow discord in the community of faith in the name of your being right. God detests those who sow discord among brothers (Proverbs 6:9).  Watch your own soul and words in this regard.  Talk directly to your leaders and always pray earnestly for them.  Respect the unity of the Spirit in the church.  It is devotion to your Lord.

“I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.” Ephesians 4:1-3 (ESV)
