God’s love reaches out to all the world, whether they know it or not. The preaching of the gospel does not create this love, but it is aimed at persuading the hearers, who are not conscious of God’s love for them, to believe, experience and enter that love. The Father gave the Son out of that love. Jesus is the Way to it. To discover it is to be reborn; it will change the lens through which life is viewed. It is healing, affirming and renewing.
“And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. We love because He first loved us.” (1 John 4:16, 19 NIV)
