Think about what could happen to the church if we took our spirituality as seriously as those mocked as “The Holy Club” and “Methodist”. Join me in asking the following questions in first person: What if I had the discipline to visit as well as pray and read my Bible? What if I took time to encourage the downtrodden? What if I limited my time watching TV and checking social media, so I would have more time for spiritual reading? What if my fasting was systematic? What if I found new ways to do positive good? What could my life become if I began to more carefully plan my days?
Lord, have mercy on me. May I become a true disciplined follower of the lowly Nazarene; may I follow Him with the same devotion as the early Apostles.
