All of us do not spend the same amount of time in Gethsemane. The length and depth of our sorrows are not the same. If we look at others we think they have it easy. It is likely a mirage. Even if their load is lighter, it is none of our business. “What is that to you? You follow me.” We don’t all walk the same path but we walk with the same Lord. Our trials are different, but our destination is the same. We all have to depend on the same Lord for enough grace to get us through where we are.
Peter turned and saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following them…21 When Peter saw him, he said to Jesus, “Lord, what about this man?” Jesus said to him, “If it is my will that he remain until I come, what is that to you? You follow me!” John 21:20a, 21-22 (ESV)
