“But their delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law they meditate day and night.” Ps 1:2 (NRSV). Delight and meditate go hand in hand. It is difficult to meditate on that in which we do not delight. We always think on what delights our inner self. What we think about betrays our idolatry or keeps us from it. Thinking about truth leads us to the One who said, “I am the Truth” (Jn 14:6). Jesus is the living embodiment of truth. In Him our souls delight.
