Sooner or later we will all experience an ego crushing event, something that calls into question who we are. These are the times that test our mettle, expose our weakness, and may leave us enough doubt that we fear it will threaten our faith. We want answers that end all questions, but often our answers raise more questions. Life can be as hard as a wooden cross on your back. It can hurt like nails in your hands and feet. It can feel like thorns on your head and a spear in your side. Talk to Jesus! He knows! He gives resurrection to those who die with Him.
Father, sometimes we struggle in the dark, praying that morning will come. Then sometimes we want the day to be over so we will not need to face anybody. In these times help us to remember that You are the Father of the crucified Son. Amen!
