“Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture” (Psalm 100:3 KJV).  The Lord is our Creator and He is also our Shepherd.  All people are His creation.  He loves them all.  They are His people.  He longs to shepherd us.  He wants to keep leading us to the green pastures He has provided.  A shepherd means feeder of sheep; He feeds us with Himself. He is “the Bread that came down from heaven.”  Our spirits need this spiritual food for life.

The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life.” John 6:56, 61-63 (NRSV
