Life has a way of testing our strength and challenging our coping skills.  One way of coping is to be patient with those who are not coping.  Sometimes we have mastered some things with which others may still be struggling.  We must understand that they may not be where we are.  Let the way we cope with life be a model and guide to them.  Let us help them.  Put yourself in their place, the place you used to be, the place you were when you were not coping all that well.  Give them that mercy.

“Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.  Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.” Colossians 3:12-13 (NLT)
