Stuck In the Unpleasant
So, you are stuck. Stuck in traffic. Stuck in a grocery line. Stuck at an airport. Stuck in mandated or self-isolation. What do you tell yourself? There are things that you can say to yourself that will only make it much worse. Speak kind words to yourself. Speak peace to your storm. Speak kindness to your isolation, lest it become your prison cell. Prison cells have little power over us, if we can find that sweet spot with God. Your cell does not have to take your song, it can give you one. Oh my soul, sing unto the Lord. Sing a song of gratitude and thanksgiving. Let the other prisoners hear your song; they need it.
