Pacing In A Crisis

When I was young and strong, I had not yet learned to pace myself.  Because of it, I sometimes found my energy spent before the job was over.  Maturity has taught me to pace myself.  My soul says to me, “Don’t burn out.  Pace yourself.  You can get it done if you take your time and don’t get in a hurry.”  Life will teach us if we will listen.  We have allowed the mad rush of things to madden us.  Don’t let this crazy world make you crazy.  This is not going to be easy.  Learn patience and practice perseverance.  They are much needed virtues for troubled times.

“He energizes those who get tired, gives fresh strength to dropouts.  For even young people tire and drop out, young folk in their prime stumble and fall.  But those who wait upon GOD get fresh strength. They spread their wings and soar like eagles, They run and don’t get tired, they walk and don’t lag behind.” Isaiah 40:29-31 (MSG)
