Teach Me

“Teach me how to live, O LORD. Lead me along the right path, for my enemies are waiting for me.  Do not let me fall into their hands. For they accuse me of things I’ve never done; with every breath they threaten me with violence. Yet I am confident I will see the LORD’s goodness while I am here in the land of the living.  Wait patiently for the LORD. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the LORD”. Psalm 27:11-14 (NLT)

In the face of opposition, rejection and persecution, wait on the Lord; in times of fear, anxiety and uncertainty, wait on the Lord.  Waiting on the Lord enables us to be filled with confidence and courage.  Oh my soul, learn to focus on God and not the problems.  May I realize that when I depend only on me, leaving out the God-factor, things don’t go well.  Teach me how to live, O Lord; teach me how to suffer, O Christ.  Make a better person of me by this refining fire, then I will see Your goodness in the “land of the living”.  Amen!
