The Virus Marathon
I was not interested in running a marathon. I did not even want to run a sprint. I had places I wanted to go, things I wanted to do, duties that needed my attention. Then out of nowhere the marathon found me and demanded I run; it left me no choice. My soul spoke to me. “This is not for the short run, this is for the long run. You are in a long race. Others are being forced to run it also, so it is really not about you.” No one asked for it; it just came. Don’t lash out because of the inconvenience of it. Find your pace. Speak to your soul to endure. Shout out encouragement to your fellow runners. They need it. The finish line is not yet in view.
“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint” Isaiah 40:31 (KJV)
