A cloud received the ascending Jesus out of the sight of His upward gazing followers (Acts 1). That mysterious cloud will some day open itself to reveal the descending Christ. His servants are “waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Messiah” (1 Cor 1:7). His sanctifying work prepares His kingdom citizens to be “without blame” at His coming (I Thess 3:13, 5:23). He is coming “with all His saints” (I Thess 3:13). The Lord’s Prayer will be fulfilled. The Kingdom will come fully and finally when the King returns.
