The words “crucified with” of Gal 2:20, “I am crucified with Christ” in the Greek, is “co-crucified.” Two people on one cross. Visualize a back to back crucifixion with you being the other person. This is the solidarity of the saved with the Savior, the redeemed with the Redeemer, the crucified with the Crucified (Rom 6:1-7ff). Cheap grace can make our salvation a paper transaction in the courts of heaven. The antidote to cheap grace is to realize the reality of your oneness with Christ, and to take up your cross and die with Him.
“That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death” Phil 3:10.
