In the ancient temple of Israel there were separate courts (areas) for priests, for men, for women and for Gentiles. These barriers were all shattered when Christ, the New Temple, was raised from the dead. Jesus said, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up” (Jn 2:19). Being baptized into Him means that the walls of class, gender and ethnicity are broken down. In Him, all have a place of acceptance, redemption and service. In Him, we are a royal priesthood and a holy nation (I Pet 2:9). In the Body of Christ (The Temple), the world’s divisions are set aside and the Father’s vision for unity comes! Hallelujah!
“For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus” Gal 3:27-28 (NASB).
