Hades claimed an unreleasable grip on the human soul; it had a near flawless record. Christ entered there; Death and Hades could not keep Him there. “God raised him up, loosing the pangs of death, because it was not possible for him to be held by it” (Acts 2:24 ESV). The irresistible force was met by a greater power; Jesus came out of the grave. Hades found that breaking out of Hades was possible with Messiah. Just as the grave could not hold our Messiah King, it will not be able to hold those who are “in Him”. It can no more hold those “in Christ” than Christ Himself. Hallelujah! Amen!
“Christ the Lord is risen today, Alleluia! / Earth and heaven in chorus say, Alleluia! / Raise your joys and triumphs high, Alleluia! / Sing, ye heavens, and earth reply, Alleluia! / Love’s redeeming work is done, Alleluia! / Fought the fight, the battle won, Alleluia! / Death in vain forbids him rise, Alleluia! / Christ has opened paradise, Alleluia!.” -Charles Wesley
