He descended to Hades in His Spirit even when His fleshly body lay in the tomb. This is the place where all before Him were left dead. However, His Father did not leave Him there. ”For You will not leave my soul in Sheol, nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption” (Psalm 16:10). The Father brought His Spirit back from Hades and His body from the tomb. It was the Love of the Father that would not leave Him in those two places. The Father loves you too. Belief in Jesus ends Hades’ claim on us.
