We know that our lives should be centered in our Lord, and that anything that does not orient to Him as center, is to be rejected. However, it is easy to reconstruct the kind of Messiah that we can tolerate and place that one in the center, still claiming Christ centeredness. We then embrace a Christ who suits us, anoints our chosen ways, but never overturns the tables to radically reorder our lives. Do not change Him! Let Him change you!
“I will give thanks to the LORD with my whole heart” Psalms 9:1a (NRSV)
