You cannot change your past, but you can change your future. The past will never let us change it. We can deny it or misrepresent it, but it is what it is. What we can do is learn from it and release it for a new future. We can by faith and obedience today do the things that will change all our tomorrows, and thus someday, give us a better past. Built into creation are opportunities to start over. Four seasons give us another chance to plant and harvest. Day ends with night, and a new day comes with new potential. A new future is not possible without evaluating where we are, prayerful resolve, and changing behaviors to get us there. The Lord is present in our lives to give us grace at every point in the process of change toward our maturity.
Father, we are so glad that you are the One Who gives us chances for a new start. Amen!
