God who said, “Let there be light”, is not interested in leaving us in darkness. He does not want humankind to be under the dominion of darkness. He has gone to great lengths to rescue us with His great redemption. We live now in the “Kingdom of His beloved Son,” which is the Kingdom of Light. Having received forgiveness from our sins we are to do the acts that belong to light and not those that belong to darkness.
“For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.” Colossians 1:13-14 (NASB)
