You can’t build a life on what you are against.  What we are opposed to is a sad way to state our “faith”.  “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1 ESV).  The Apostles’ Creed states what we believe, as does the Nicene Creed.  Faith believes that God has raised from the dead our Lord Jesus Christ and that resurrection has changed our lives and our future.  You can build your life on that, for sure.

The Apostles’ Creed:

I believe in God the Father, Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth: And in Jesus Christ, his only begotten Son, our Lord: Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary: Suffered under Pontius Pilate; was crucified, dead and buried: He descended into hades: The third day he rose again from the dead: He ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty: From thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead: I believe in the Holy Spirit: I believe in the holy catholic church: the communion of saints: The forgiveness of sins: The resurrection of the body: And the life everlasting. Amen.
