Self-exalting narcissism never ends well. The law of the universe is against it. Jesus Himself taught, “Everyone who exalts himself will be brought low” (Lu 14:11a). There is only one God and we are not Him. We have to renounce our own throne and know how to humbly bow at the feet of our Heavenly Father. The exaltation of ourselves as more important, intelligent, significant and more powerful than any of our peers is our ruination, as well as society at large. In the end, no one is going to get away with it. Be humble. If we have never learned humility, life will teach us.
