Somehow we feel that if we sin, the only thing we have to do is to confess it and move on. There is more! Much more! The heart must be examined to fully answer the question, “Why did I do that?” We need to look at anything in us that tends toward a particular sin. There is always a reason, more often than not, unobserved and unexamined. Until that question is addressed and the core cause is confronted, then our confession is not complete and neither is our cleansing.
