Sometimes the desert is a better teacher than the beach. Sometimes the valleys instruct us more than the mountains. Sometimes the dark night tutors us more than the sunshine. Sometimes weakness whispers secrets that strength does not know. Sometimes loneliness brings a kind of coaching not to be experienced in the crowd. Sometimes rejection and betrayal illuminates a new vision of Jesus. Sometimes sickness gives better schooling than health. Sometimes the prison cell reveals something we could never have learned at the party. So do not despise these better teachers. They serve the Teacher.
“Let me hear Your lovingkindness in the morning; For I trust in You; Teach me the way in which I should walk; For to You I lift up my soul.” Psalm 143:8 (NASB)
