Nicodemas thought Jesus meant “born again”; Jesus clarified that He meant “born from above” (John 3:1-8). Being “born from above” truly makes our lives different in this world “below”. Too many who claim to be “born again” Christians look no different that those around them. “Born from above” is a transformation accomplished by the Spirit. Those having been born of the Spirit manifest the fruit of the Spirit from their lives. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control” Galatians 5:22-23a (NASB).
