“We beheld His glory” (John 1:14). However, others were near Him that did not see His glory. It is possible to live with and around glory and yet miss it. Why do we miss it? Is it because we are not looking? Is it because we are looking at Him in the wrong way? We must see in Him One who is more than teacher and more than humanitarian. We must see Him as One in whom the glory dwells. We behold the glory, and we are changed by it and into it. He has given us glory. Being restored to His image, we become bearers of His glory in a dark place.
“But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.” 2 Corinthians 3:18 (NASB)
