“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone…For this reason you also must be ready; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not think He will” (Matt 24:36, 44). No one knows the time of His return, though we have heard many clever and convincing predictions. We do not know when, but we can and must be ready now. Those ready will be found doing His work when He returns.
A Benediction for the New Year
“Now may the God who gives perseverance and encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus, so that with one accord you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 15:5-6 (NASB)
