Worship should come from our heart and express itself through our voice and through our hands. It is what we say and what we do. Praise without service can’t be worship in a truest sense of the word. We are high on the “sacrifice of praise” and low on the sacrifices of “doing good and sharing.” The thing that pleases God is praise from our lips joined with the service of our hands. Divide the two, and worship is incomplete.
“Through Him then, let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that give thanks to His name. And do not neglect doing good and sharing, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.” Hebrews 13:15-16 (NASB)
