Just because something bad has happened to you does not mean that something is wrong with you. That is a lie the enemy tells us. Neither is it because God has singled you out for some heavy burden just because He is trying to make you stronger. Christians also get hit by stray bullets, cars, bacteria, viruses, pollutants, and consequences of someone else’s choices. Don’t think something is wrong with you when you are hit by any of these. We live in a creation that has been short circuited by human sin. God has declared His love for all in the gift of His Son, plus a thousand other ways. You are so much His beloved one that He will see you through suffering and death to resurrection just like He did His Son.
