“Unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord” Luke 2:11 (KJV). Bethlehem! City of David! A Baby! Descendent of David! Promised Messiah! More than once in the history of Israel God raised up a baby for His purposes. There was Sarah’s baby, born of the barren one. There was Jochebed’s baby, placed in a basket by the Nile! There was Hannah’s baby, brought into the world by intercession. Then there was Mary’s baby, the Lord, the hope and Savior of the whole world.
