The Creator died for the creature. The maker died for what He had made. The Master died for the slave. The Lord died for subjects. The sinless One died for sinners. The Rich One gave Himself to the poor and was not diminished by the gift. Love gave Itself for the fallen. Hope offered itself to the destitute. Friendship was offered to enemies. Forgiveness was offered to those who crucified God. Healing was offered to those diseased by sin. Wholeness was offered to the broken. Kneel at the foot of the cross and He will meet you there. Live at the foot of the cross and it will give you perspective for everything.
Lord God Almighty, what you did at the cross staggers our imagination and exhausts our words. Your mercy humbles us; Your love transforms us. Holy Father, we worship you with our whole being. Amen!
