We proclaim, “I am a Christian; I am not ashamed.” It takes more than proclamation. “He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked” (1 John 2:6 NKJV). To commit our lives to Christ is more than signing up for salvation. It is to study how He walked so that we can walk the same way. It is looking at how He coped with rejection, unfairness, abandonment, cursing, ridicule and crucifixion so we can handle it as He did. By His Spirit and in His strength it can be done.
