“As you would that others do unto you, do also to them.” This not only involves showing love and acts of kindness, it also involves radical mercy. When a person falls into sin, he or she is to be prayed for while they work through their falling. Even “tough love” can be applied in a Golden-Rule way. “There, but for the grace of God go I.” I put myself in their place. If I were where they are, then I would want someone to hold me accountable and pray for me until I was restored and brought back to the community.
