We have reduced announcing the gospel to how we can get a free ticket to heaven. The real good news is that Jesus Christ, whom God raised from the dead, is Lord of Heaven and Earth, and He has come to restore all things with a new heaven and a new earth wherein righteousness dwells. Conversion makes us new creations and citizens of the heavenly kingdom and readies us to live Jesus in this world. We are literally called to bring our heavenly citizenship down to earth by living it now among earthlings, who are also being invited to this heavenly citizenship.
